Transit Itself Lacks Significant Control: Pashinyan on Meghri Passage

Azerbaijan states that if there is no passage through Armenian territory, they will proceed through Iranian territory. We also state that under the conditions Iran proposes, we are ready to offer that passage under the same terms. This was mentioned by Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan, referring to the Azerbaijani president's view that the passage should be unrestricted and without inspections.

'On the contrary, since we also have an interest, because we also want to use the roads, we are also ready for certain simplifications, especially when it comes to transit and not generally bypassing international regulations,' he said.
