1.5-Year-Old Child Hospitalized with Thermal Burns
A 1.5-year-old child has been admitted to the Burn National Center with a diagnosis of "thermal burn from scalding liquid, first, second, and third degree on the left lower extremity, 4 percent of total body surface area" after an incident in one of the villages of Kotayk Province.
Information received by the National Police of Armenia indicates that the child, a boy from Kotayk Province, sustained burns due to accidentally tipping a teapot filled with boiling water on himself. Police officials have confirmed that the child's health condition is moderate.
According to sources, the child's parents reported to the police that the burn occurred as a result of the child unintentionally overturning the steaming teapot.
