Turkey Has Problematic Issues with the US
Turkey has problematic issues in its relations with the United States, the most significant of which is Washington's policy in Syria. This was stated by the country's Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan, as reported by РИА Новости.
“In the new era, we will certainly continue to closely cooperate with the administration of (Donald) Trump at the highest level. As you know, we have a long-standing relationship with the US administration, but we do not think alike on all issues. There are issues on which we have disagreements, especially regarding regional matters. However, there is an action that mature states must follow. That is, problematic issues should be bracketed, while positive matters should be pursued. We also have problematic issues with the US,” he said.
