Canada Allocates Over $305 Million in Military Aid to Ukraine
Canada has allocated a new military aid package to Ukraine amounting to 440 million Canadian dollars (approximately 305.7 million USD), as reported by the country's government. According to RIA Novosti, National Defence Minister Bill Blair announced the military assistance during the 25th meeting of the Ukraine Defence Contact Group.
It was reported that nearly 139 million dollars from this sum will be directed to a Czech initiative for purchasing and supplying large-caliber ammunition to Kyiv. An additional 35 million dollars will be spent by Ottawa on acquiring various calibers of ammunition from its domestic defense industry. Furthermore, 69.5 million will be allocated to the production of military drones in Ukraine.
Canada will also provide funds for the production of winter equipment and high-quality cameras. With the latest aid package included, the total amount of military support allocated to Ukraine by Canadian authorities has reached 3.13 billion dollars.
