50 Witnesses Testify Against Jalal Harutyunyan
The former commander of the Artsakh Defense Army, Jalal Harutyunyan, is facing demands from the prosecutorial and victim sides to be found guilty in the ongoing legal proceedings against him. This is reported by 'Factinfo.'
Liparit Simonian, a representative of the victims’ heirs, informed 'Factinfo' that the case is in its final stages, with closing speeches being held. Both the prosecution and the victims’ side have presented their closing arguments, urging the court to find Harutyunyan guilty.
The court session is scheduled for January 15 under the presiding judge Garik Abelian at the general jurisdiction court of Syunik Province, during which the defense will also deliver their closing remarks. Following this, the court is expected to announce its verdict.
According to the outlet, Simonian has reported that the testimonies of nearly 50 witnesses questioned in court have been entirely against Jalal Harutyunyan.
