Varazdat Lalayan Recognized as Winner in 'Audience Sympathy' Category

Varazdat Lalayan, a member of the Armenian men's weightlifting team, world and European champion, and silver medalist at the Olympic Games, has been declared the winner of the 'Audience Sympathy' category in the 'Best of the Year in Sports' competition. This was reported by the Ministry of Education, Science, Culture, and Sports of the Republic of Armenia.

Lalayan received 1,778 votes. The second place was taken by weightlifter Gor Sahakyan with 1,567 votes, while the top three was completed by wrestler Malkhas Amoyan with 489 votes.

The voting for the 'Audience Sympathy' category was conducted through a dedicated channel on the Telegram social platform. Over 6,100 users participated in the voting within a span of five days.
