Varazdat Lalayan Awarded the Title of Honored Master of Sports of Armenia
Varazdat Lalayan, the silver medalist of the 2024 Paris Olympic Games and current champion of Europe and the world, has been awarded the title of Honored Master of Sports of Armenia. This was announced by the Ministry of Education, Science, Culture, and Sport of Armenia.
The award was handed to the newly crowned world champion by the Minister of Education, Science, Culture, and Sport, Zhanna Andreasyan. The meeting was also attended by the Deputy Minister of Education, Science, Culture, and Sport, Karen Giloyan.
“I was able to bring moments of joy to the Armenian nation, which I am very proud of. This was, indeed, a long-awaited achievement for me. The struggle was very tough, but I am happy that I was finally able to bring the gold from the World Championship to Armenia,” said Varazdat Lalayan.
The title of Honored Master of Sports is granted only to Olympic champions, medalists, and world champions.
