Azerbaijan's MFA States What Prevents the Signing of the Peace Treaty
The absence of a unified stance from Armenia is hindering the signing of a peace treaty, according to Azerbaijani Deputy Foreign Minister Elnur Mammadov. “One of the main obstacles to the signing is the territorial claims against Azerbaijan contained in the Armenian Constitution. The second obstacle is that the members of the Armenian delegation around the negotiation table are speaking from different positions,” Mammadov stated.
Earlier, the Armenian side announced that around 90% of the text of the peace treaty has been agreed upon with Azerbaijan.
