December 8 Declared National Holiday in Syria
The National Coalition of Syrian Opposition and Revolutionary Forces has declared December 8 as a national holiday in the country, marking the day when the armed forces captured Damascus. This was reported by TASS.
“The Syrian National Coalition declares December 8 as a national holiday in Syria because it is a day of victory for martyrs and victims, a day of triumph for the arrested, displaced, and oppressed, a day of victory for truth and justice over crime and oppression,” the published communiqué states.
