Armenia Must Abandon Those Demands, Says Azerbaijani Deputy Foreign Minister
Armenia must abandon its continuing demands regarding Azerbaijan's territorial integrity and sovereignty, which are enshrined in its Constitution and legislative acts, and which Armenia presents in international organizations and courts. This statement was made by Azerbaijani Deputy Foreign Minister Elnur Mammadov during a meeting with the delegation headed by Joshua Harty, the U.S. Assistant Secretary of State for European and Eurasian Affairs.
The meeting discussed the prospects for the normalization of relations between Azerbaijan and Armenia. Mammadov informed the U.S. assistant secretary about the current situation in the region in the post-war period, as well as the progress of negotiations on a peace treaty between Yerevan and Baku.
