Lavrov Comments on Pashinyan's Statement
No document has been received from Armenia regarding leaving the CSTO. This was announced by Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov during a press conference while commenting on Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan's statement.
“We hear these conversations; the Prime Minister of Armenia has spoken a lot and discussed this topic. We do not impose anything on anyone. We are convinced that it is in Armenia’s security interests to maximize its benefits from membership in the union,” he stated.
Recall that yesterday, during his speech in parliament, Pashinyan stated that the differences in situations and their public mutual expression are becoming increasingly difficult, if not impossible, for Armenia to return to the CSTO, indicating that the point of no return has already been passed.
