Georgian Opposition Issues Statement
Four opposition forces in Georgia, including the "Coalition for Change," "United National Movement," and "Strong Georgia" coalitions, along with the "For Georgia" party, have jointly issued a statement. This was reported by aliq.ge.
The opposition outlined the demands necessary to resolve the ongoing crisis. "We, the political parties victorious in the October 26, 2024 elections, once again clearly state the demands presented to Bidzina Ivanishvili that must be fulfilled to exit the crisis. Immediate release of all political prisoners unlawfully detained during the protests and cessation of all charges against them. Schedule new elections to be conducted by a new, independent electoral administration under conditions of political neutrality of law enforcement agencies. The victory of Georgia, our freedom, is inevitable," the statement reads.
