Iran's Chief Military Advisor Killed in Syria, IRGC Confirms
The commander of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC), Hossein Salami, has confirmed the death of Iran's military advisor in Syria due to an attack by militants, blaming Israel for the resurgence of armed groups.
"The brutal Zionist regime (i.e., Israel) has suffered a strategic defeat in Gaza and Lebanon and has failed to achieve its divisive goal of establishing dominance over the Islamic resistance front. Now, Takfiri terrorists have carried out yet another vicious attack on Syria in recent days, receiving a response from the country's army and militia. One of the crimes committed by the Zionist Takfiri terrorists is the assassination of Iran's chief military advisor in Syria, Major General Kiomars Purhashemi, known as Hajj Hashem," stated the IRGC's press service in their announcement.
