New Appointments in Law Enforcement Structures
In accordance with the decrees of the President of the Republic of Armenia, VahAGN Khachatryan, a number of appointments have been made in law enforcement structures. Accordingly, Gagik Poghosyan has been appointed as the commander of the 5th Army Corps.
“Based on the Prime Minister's recommendation, in accordance with part 1 of Article 133 of the Constitution, as well as part 1 of Article 35.1 and part 1 of point 1 of Article 36 of the Law on Military Service and the Status of Military Personnel: Gagik Poghosyan has been appointed as the commander of the 5th Army Corps, being relieved of the position of Deputy Commander of the Special Forces Corps,” the relevant decree states.
Simon Nazaryan has been appointed as the commander of the 3rd Army Corps. “Based on the Prime Minister's recommendation, in accordance with part 1 of Article 133 of the Constitution, as well as part 1 of Article 35.1 and part 1 of point 1 of Article 36 of the Law on Military Service and the Status of Military Personnel: Simon Nazaryan has been appointed as the commander of the 3rd Army Corps,” the decree states.
Alexander Tsakanian has been appointed as the First Deputy Chief of the Operational Directorate of the Armed Forces General Staff of the Republic of Armenia. “Based on the Prime Minister's recommendation, in accordance with part 1 of Article 133 of the Constitution, as well as part 1 of Article 35.1 and part 1 of point 1 of Article 37 of the Law on Military Service and the Status of Military Personnel: Alexander Tsakanian has been appointed as the First Deputy Head of the Operational Directorate of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of the Republic of Armenia, being relieved of the command of the 3rd Army Corps,” the decree states.
Albert Baghdadyan has been appointed as the head of the National Defense Research University of the Ministry of Defense of the Republic of Armenia. “Based on the Prime Minister's recommendation, in accordance with part 1 of Article 133 of the Constitution, as well as part 1 of Article 35.1 and part 1 of point 1 of Article 37 of the Law on Military Service and the Status of Military Personnel: Albert Baghdadyan has been appointed as the head of the National Defense Research University of the Ministry of Defense of the Republic of Armenia, being relieved of the position of First Deputy Chief of the Operational Directorate of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of the Republic of Armenia,” the decree states.
Levon Davidian has been appointed as the commander of the Special Forces. “Based on the Prime Minister's recommendation, in accordance with part 1 of Article 133 of the Constitution, as well as part 1 of Article 35.1 and part 1 of point 1 of Article 36 of the Law on Military Service and the Status of Military Personnel: Levon Davidian has been appointed as the commander of the Special Forces, being relieved of the position of Deputy Chief of the Main Intelligence Directorate of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of the Republic of Armenia,” the decree states.
