Rescuers Remove 103 Vehicles from Traffic Jam
The Ministry of Emergency Situations of Armenia reports that on November 17, at 11:25 AM, a notification was received by the crisis management center of the Syunik regional rescue service regarding trucks being unable to proceed on the Agvan-Tatev highway due to black ice.
A firefighting and rescue unit from the Agvani outpost of the Ministry of Emergency Situations was dispatched to the scene. Rescuers worked on treating the black ice on the 1st kilometer of the Agvan-Tatev highway, successfully clearing 103 vehicles from the traffic jam. The highway is now open for two-way traffic.
