Video: Minister Surbuhie Galyan on the Incident Involving Aghazaryan and Kyaramyans
There is no phone justice in Armenia. This was stated by the Minister of Justice Surbuhie Galyan during a conversation with journalists following a government meeting on November 7.
When asked how she assesses the fact that on October 15, the head of the Investigative Committee Arghishti Kyaramyan announced in the National Assembly that he had received two phone calls regarding the son of MP Hovik Aghazaryan from the ruling faction, Galyan responded that while Kyaramyan was indeed contacted, it remains to be seen whether it yielded results.
“Kyaramyan was called, but did it produce results? We talk about phone justice when a call achieves its intended purpose. I base my conclusions on results. When there is a call that leads to justice, we will discuss it. As for the call that has been mentioned, it did not materialize, meaning phone justice does not exist in our country,” she noted.
