Zahharova on Trump's Statements
Donald Trump, who declared victory in the U.S. presidential elections, addressed his supporters in Florida, stating that he would end wars. “I am not going to start wars, I will end them,” he said.
This statement was responded to by Maria Zakharova, the official representative of the Russian Foreign Ministry, as reported by RIA Novosti. “Trump's thesis about the need to end conflicts implies that there must be specific actions for that,” she said.
It should be noted that global leaders have congratulated Donald Trump, the Republican candidate, on his victory in the U.S. presidential elections. The first to congratulate him was Salvadoran President Nayib Bukele. He was followed by Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orbán, Austrian Chancellor Karl Nehammer, French President Emmanuel Macron, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky, Georgian Prime Minister Irakli Garibashvili, and NATO Secretary General Mark Rutte.
