Joint Statement by Macron and Tokayev on Armenian-Azerbaijani Relations
France and Kazakhstan fully support the normalization of relations between Armenia and Azerbaijan and the prompt signing of a peace treaty. This was stated in the joint statement by Presidents Emmanuel Macron and Kassym-Jomart Tokayev.
“This will allow for the establishment of a just and sustainable peace in the region, respecting the territorial integrity of both states and the 1991 Alma-Ata Declaration. The presidents emphasized the importance of stability in the South Caucasus for the development of international transport routes in the Trans-Caspian region,” the text states.
