French Ambassador in Armenia Responds to Azerbaijani Fabrications
The French Ambassador to Armenia, Olivier Decottignies, has responded to false claims disseminated by Azerbaijani media regarding the European Union's civilian observation mission, alleging that "France is deploying its intelligence service members at the Azerbaijani border."
In a post on his microblog, the ambassador described the allegations as a work of spy fiction, adding, "a bonus includes a sniper-style report from my visit to the Syunik Province with the governor to the village of Nerkhin Hand."
It should be noted that the visit of EU observers and the French ambassador to the village of Nerkhin Hand sparked dissatisfaction among Azerbaijani pro-government media outlets yesterday. They released footage from the visit, claiming that members of the French intelligence services were being stationed there.
