Azerbaijan Acquires 25% of Natural Gas Shares in Northwestern Turkey
Azerbaijan's first private energy company, GL Group, has acquired 25% of the shares of the Canadian company Gazelle Energy Limited, which owns and operates 100% of the F17-b4 license in the Thrace Basin located in northwestern Turkey. This area is significant for potential gas exploration and development with considerable growth potential.
Asif Zeynalov, CEO and Chairman of the Advisory Board of GL Group, stated, “This first international acquisition is not only strategic but also reinforces GL Group as a regional player in the sector, strengthening our position and supporting our future growth across the entire region.”
