Israel Attempts to Assassinate Hezbollah's Potential Successor, Hashim Safi al-Din: Media

The Israeli military launched approximately 20 strikes near Beirut’s airport last night. The target of the attack was reportedly Hashim Safi al-Din, the potential successor to Hezbollah's Secretary-General Hassan Nasrallah, according to media outlets citing Israeli officials. It remains unclear whether he survived the attack.

Some reports also indicate the death of a commander of the Hamas movement on the West Bank, where Israeli strikes have been recorded as well.

According to the Lebanese Ministry of Health, in the last 24 hours, airstrikes in Lebanon have resulted in 37 deaths and 151 injuries.
