Kapan's KYP Leader Removed from Position: 'Hraparak'
The newspaper 'Hraparak' reports that Narek Davtyan, the former head of the Kapan Territorial Council of the KYP, has recently been removed from his position as head of the financial department of the regional governor's office. Davtyan was dismissed from the council chairmanship by Nikol Pashinyan just days after his visit to Syunik this summer. During this visit, Pashinyan unveiled internal party disputes and returned to Yerevan, where it was decided by the KYP executive to dissolve Kapan's structure.
Although Pashinyan intended to expel Narek Davtyan from the ranks of the KYP, regional governor Robert Ghukasyan intervened on his behalf, and he was allowed to stay. Months later, a service investigation was initiated against Davtyan based on deficiencies found in his work duties, and he was recently dismissed. Notably, despite local KYP members encouraging Davtyan to fight to keep his position, their support proved futile.
Moreover, it is reported that dark clouds are also gathering over the head of his notary sister, who has conducted notarial activities in the regional governor's office building for years under her brother's patronage, and she too is now facing expulsion from that building.
