ICRC Representatives Visit Armenians Deprived of Liberty in Baku
ICRC representatives met with Armenians deprived of liberty in Baku in September. This was reported to Sputnik Armenia by Zara Amatuni, the communication programs manager at the Armenian office of the Red Cross.
They were given the opportunity to connect with their family members. It is noteworthy that the organization's representatives last met with individuals held in Baku in August.
Baku officially confirms the captivity of 23 Armenians, 17 of whom found themselves there after Azerbaijan's September aggression against Artsakh. This group includes representatives of the Artsakh military-political leadership.
The Artsakh military-political leadership has been unlawfully held in Baku's prison for over a year.
