The tap water is from the Tzav River of Verknik Hand Village in Syunik Province. Former Human Rights Defender Arman Tatoyan stated this on his Facebook page. People are forced to use it for cooking, for their children, and more.
Since September 13, 2022, Azerbaijan has occupied the sources of drinking water located in the area of Verknik Hand in Armenia, causing criminal damage to the people, he wrote.
