Why Bishop Bagrat Is Not Participating in the Holy Muron Blessing Ceremony at the Mother Cathedral
“That is his decision; Bishop Bagrat has decided not to participate,” said Isahak Kahana Arthenyan, the director of the information system of the Mother Cathedral, during a conversation with reporters prior to the Holy Muron blessing ceremony. This was in response to the question of why Galstanyan is not attending the event.
“I have not had the opportunity to discuss this with him, but Bishop Bagrat, as a clergyman of the Armenian Church, is free to attend these ceremonies. He has not been sent an invitation, as invitations are not sent to clergymen,” Arthenyan noted.
It is worth mentioning that starting at 17:00, on the day dedicated to the memory of Saint George the Brave, the Holy Muron blessing will be held in the open sanctuary of the Mother Cathedral by His Holiness Karekin II, the Supreme Patriarch and Catholicos of All Armenians. Several opposition and ruling party members of parliament are expected to participate in the ceremony.
