Will Judge Misakyan's Powers Be Revoked in the Case of Serzh Sargsyan?
The cost of exonerating Serzh Sargsyan will be high for Judge Vahe Misakyan. There are widespread rumors within the judicial system that Misakyan's powers may be revoked, and during internal discussions at the Supreme Judicial Council, opinions have been expressed that he should be removed from the system. This is reported by the newspaper "Zhoghovurd."
"As is known, this is the second time this year that disciplinary proceedings have been initiated against Judge Misakyan. The first time, on April 24 of this year, the Supreme Judicial Council, upon reviewing the petition of the Ethics and Disciplinary Issues Committee of the General Assembly of Judges, decided to impose disciplinary liability on Judge Vahe Misakyan of the Criminal Court of First Instance of Yerevan, and a severe reprimand was issued. According to the Prosecutor's report, there were alleged violations of procedural deadlines in the case of Vazgen Manukyan. Judging by the situation, the second proceeding may have a fatal conclusion for the judge," the newspaper reports.
