The Pager That Exploded Near the Iranian Ambassador Belonged to One of His Accompanying Staff
The communication device that exploded and injured Iranian Ambassador Mojtaba Amani in Beirut belonged to one of his accompanying staff members. This was reported by the Al Mayadeen television channel.
According to the channel, the ambassador himself does not use pagers. Earlier, media outlets reported that the head of Iran's diplomatic mission in Beirut was injured due to the explosion of a communication device. Later, the IRNA agency clarified that the diplomat sustained minor injuries, and his life is not in danger. The Islamic Republic's diplomatic mission confirmed on its X social media page that "the ambassador's overall condition does not cause concern."
