This Significantly Changes the Essence of the Conflict: Putin
Ukrainian forces will not be able to strike deep into Russia without the assistance of Western partners. This was stated by Russian President Vladimir Putin, as reported by TASS.
“The Ukrainian army is incapable of delivering strikes with modern long-range precision systems produced in the West,” said the head of state. Putin added that satellite reconnaissance data is necessary for strikes on Russia. However, according to the president, Ukraine does not have access to such information. In this regard, the Ukrainian government can seek assistance from NATO countries, emphasized the Russian leader.
According to President Vladimir Putin, the direct involvement of Western countries in the Ukraine conflict changes its essence, and Russia will have to make decisions based on the threats created by such a situation. “The direct involvement of Western countries in the Ukraine conflict significantly changes its core essence, its fundamental nature. This would mean that NATO countries, the USA, and European countries are fighting against Russia,” noted the president.
“If that is the case, then considering this change in the core essence of the conflict, we will make corresponding decisions based on the threats that will be created for us,” said Putin.
He also stated that NATO countries are now not only discussing the potential use of Western long-range weapons by Kyiv but are actually making decisions about direct involvement in the Ukrainian conflict. “Only NATO country servicemen can perform flight missions with those missile systems. Ukrainian servicemen cannot do this. Therefore, this is not about whether the Ukrainian regime will be allowed to strike Russia with this weapon or not. It is about deciding whether NATO countries are directly participating in the military conflict or not. If this decision is made, it would mean nothing other than the direct involvement of NATO countries, the USA, and European countries in the Ukraine war,” emphasized the Russian president.
