Trump Discusses His Plan to End the War in Ukraine
Donald Trump, the Republican presidential candidate, has stated that if he wins the election, he will end the war in Ukraine by the new year. According to him, he believes he can achieve this before officially taking office, which is slated for January 20. This was reported by The Moscow Times.
“If we win, I believe I can resolve this war as the elected president, even before officially taking office. I can stop this war because it is a terrible war. Far more people are being killed in Ukraine than you can imagine,” Trump said.
The political figure added that his plan is to halve energy prices within 12 months of taking office. “Putin cannot wage war with oil at $40,” Trump noted.
In September 2023, the Republican had already made similar statements, asserting that if the price of a barrel of oil dropped to $40, Russia would not be able to continue its war in Ukraine.
