On Wednesday evening, Minnesota Governor Tim Walz officially agreed to be the Democratic Party's candidate for U.S. Vice President in the upcoming elections in November, reports a correspondent from РИА Новости.
"It is an honor of my life to accept the nomination for the position of Vice President of the United States for one simple reason — we love this country," said Walz during his speech at Chicago's United Center, where this week's Democratic convention is taking place.
