Video: New Facilities and Equipment to Be Installed for Cleaning the Hrazdan River and Getar
The Yerevan Municipality reports that to prevent large-scale garbage accumulation, a garbage collection system is being constructed on the Hrazdan River as part of the annual municipal program. The installation of the equipment in the Shengavit administrative district is already in its final phase.
In the near future, garbage collectors will also be built in the interim area between the Davtashen and Kyiv Bridges. At the same time, a water purification plant is under construction on the Getar River, which is the first of its kind in the capital.
The plant also filters the water, preventing wastewater from flowing into the Hrazdan River. Thus, solid household waste and wastewater will no longer be dumped into Lake Yerevan.
