Iran's Armed Forces Deny Fars Agency Report on Raisi's Helicopter Crash Causes
The General Staff of the Iranian Armed Forces has refuted the Fars agency's publication regarding the causes of the helicopter crash involving President Ebrahim Raisi of the Islamic Republic. This was reported by TASS.
According to the agency's statement, "The information from Fars that one of the factors in the helicopter crash was the presence of two additional passengers, contrary to safety protocols, which caused the helicopter to lack sufficient power to gain the necessary altitude, is false." The report by Fars had indicated that the cause of the crash was weather conditions and that the number of passengers exceeded the limit, resulting in the helicopter's inability to reach the necessary altitude before colliding with a mountain in foggy conditions.
