Putin Invites Pezeshkian to Participate in BRICS Summit
The Iranian ambassador to Moscow, Kazem Jalali, has announced that Masoud Pezeshkian has received an official invitation from Vladimir Putin to participate in the BRICS summit. This was reported by Mehr.
The Iranian ambassador in Russia stated that it is likely that Iran and Russia will sign a comprehensive long-term cooperation agreement during the BRICS summit. Jalali noted that Iran's membership in BRICS is a success for diplomatic efforts.
Russia has planned many events for this group in 2024. According to him, the agreement will be signed between the Presidents of Iran and Russia in Kazan during the BRICS summit, pending the completion of procedural processes. He reminded that the agreement must receive approval from the parliaments of both countries to proceed through the legal process.
The BRICS summit will be held in Kazan, Russia, from October 22-24.
