VIDEO: 9-Story Building in Dilijan is Collapsing, 36 Families in Danger - Vosskan Sargsyan
A 9-story building in Dilijan is collapsing, putting 36 families in danger. This was reported by journalist Vosskan Sargsyan on his Facebook page, along with a video.
The building, located at 1a Shamakhyan Street in Dilijan, is at risk as rainwater has been filling the structure for years, flooding the basement. There is a strong odor permeating the area, and the building has already begun to lean, posing a risk of collapse.
Residents have repeatedly reached out to hotlines, contacted the government, and even addressed Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan, but to no avail.
The Dilijan community administration stated that they lack long pipes to open the sewage system. The municipality believes that the issue with the building is under the jurisdiction of “Veolia Water,” while the company argues that it falls under the municipality's responsibilities.
