Federal Penitentiary Service Launches Investigation Following Prisoners' Banquet in Mordovia
The Federal Penitentiary Service has initiated an investigation after reports of a banquet involving prisoners at the IK-7 penal colony in the village of Sosnovka, Mordovia. This information was reported by "Izvestia."
"Currently, the Federal Penitentiary Service of the Republic of Mordovia is conducting an investigation regarding the facts presented in your inquiry," representatives of the Federal Penitentiary Service informed reporters.
It is noted that the banquet took place in the colony on July 20. Published photographs show around 40 inmates gathered around a table with dishes including barbecued meat, salads, pizza, and more.
