Over 1500 Armenian Trucks Waiting at the Upper Lars Checkpoint
More than 1500 Armenian trucks are currently in the electronic queue to cross the Russo-Georgian border at the "Upper Lars" checkpoint in North Ossetia. This information has been reported by the North Ossetian Traffic Organization Center's website, as conveyed by Sputnik.
According to the latest data, a total of 4,881 vehicles are registered in the queue. Out of these, 1,573 trucks are registered in the electronic queue to travel to Georgia.
In recent days, massive queues have formed on the road leading from Russia to Georgia through the "Upper Lars" checkpoint. The traffic jams are escalating due to the increased flow of exports and the holiday season, resulting in a high number of passengers and trucks. Statistics indicate that around 150 Armenian trucks pass through Upper Lars daily.
It is worth noting that the military road is the only operational land route connecting Armenia with Russia (through Georgian territory).
