Papoyan Addresses Queue Issues at Upper Lars Checkpoint
Queues at the Upper Lars checkpoint are due to technical reasons. This was stated by the Minister of Economy, Gevorg Papoyan, during a press briefing.
"I am informed that this is a technical issue, which is not directly related to Armenia. The difficulties faced by Armenian freight carriers are also experienced by others from different countries. I hope that this issue will be resolved between Georgia and Russia," said Papoyan.
It is noteworthy that on August 7, it became known that the number of trucks in the electronic queue to cross the Russia-Georgia border at the "Upper Lars" checkpoint had approached 4,500. Footage has also been published.
