QR Codes to Be Implemented on Dairy Product Packaging in Armenia
QR codes will be applied to the packaging of dairy products in Armenia. The pilot program for the traceability of these products was approved at today's government meeting.
For over 10 years, adhesive labels have been in use in Armenia, but without QR codes. These labels only allow for the identification of the total volume of products from a specific manufacturer or store, but not the circulation of each individual product. Meanwhile, QR code labels address this issue, particularly in the context of combating illegal trade.
Each member country of the EAEU has selected its operator for the production of QR code labels. In the case of Armenia, this is the Center for Development of Prospective Technologies - Armenia.
