Turkey Plans to Join Lawsuit Against Israel at International Court of Justice

Turkey plans to join the lawsuit against Israel at the International Court of Justice on August 7. As reported by RIA Novosti, Turkish Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan announced this on August 5.

The Hague-based International Court held hearings on May 16-17 regarding a request from the Republic of South Africa to take additional measures against Israel due to its actions in Rafah. On May 24, the court ordered Israel to cease its military operations in Rafah and take steps to ensure the entry of missions investigating accusations of genocide into Gaza.

“On Wednesday, we intend to submit a file to the International Court of Justice in The Hague to join the lawsuit against Israel,” Fidan said at a press conference with his Egyptian counterpart in Cairo.

Fidan arrived in Egypt on August 4 and was able to visit the Rafah crossing near the Gaza Strip, highlighting the importance of humanitarian aid delivery and ensuring a ceasefire.
