Arthur Davtyan Comments on His Medal Performance
Arthur Davtyan, a member of the Armenian gymnastics team and silver medalist at the Paris Olympic Games, commented on his medal performance. "It was really difficult because my jump in the qualifying round was poor. There was even a question of whether I would make it to the final. We managed to get through that day somehow. I expected a long wait. I could have performed both of my jumps better. The difference in scores was very small compared to the first place," Davtyan told reporters in an interview with Armenpress.
According to the silver medalist, he is not entirely happy with the silver medal as he came to Paris in pursuit of gold. "I am proud that I could uphold Armenia's honor in gymnastics. My goal at the Tokyo Olympic Games was a medal, and I saw the opportunity to become a champion there. That is why my joy is not complete. Perhaps at the next Olympic Games, there will be a gold medal," he distinguished.
