Venezuela Withdraws Entire Diplomatic Staff from Seven Countries: Reasons Revealed
Following a disputed victory in the presidential elections and the lack of recognition from most neighboring countries, incumbent President Nicolas Maduro is withdrawing the entire diplomatic staff operating in those nations. The personnel are being recalled from seven countries: Argentina, the Dominican Republic, Costa Rica, Panama, Peru, Uruguay, and Chile, which have not recognized the results of Venezuela's presidential elections and Maduro's re-election.
At the same time, Venezuela has suspended flights with Panama and the Dominican Republic.
