We Cannot Be Persuaded: Ukraine's Foreign Minister
Ukrainian Foreign Minister Dmytro Kuleba has stated that no one can pressure Ukraine regarding peace negotiations with Russia. "No one can push us to negotiate, as we cannot be persuaded. And we will make our own decisions," Kuleba said in an interview with TCH, responding to a question about whether China's Foreign Minister Wang Yi had prompted such discussions during their recent meeting.
According to him, Western partners are also not trying to exert pressure on Ukraine, despite the provision of arms and funding. "They always clearly state that Ukraine will make its own decision on with whom, when, and in what format to conduct negotiations," Kuleba added.
Earlier, the Foreign Minister explained on the "Rada" TV channel what he specifically told his Chinese counterpart about the possibility of negotiations with Russia. He mentioned that he told Wang Yi that Ukraine "absolutely does not rule out conducting negotiations with Russia," but "for now, there are no conditions for that."
