The Time Has Come to Sign a Peace Agreement, Says US Embassy in Armenia
Louis Bono and high-ranking officials from Armenia discussed efforts aimed at establishing sustainable peace in the South Caucasus.
A peace treaty between Armenia and Azerbaijan will facilitate the unlocking of the South Caucasus's social and economic potential. This was stated in a recent announcement from the US Embassy in Armenia.
The document notes that the day before, the US State Department's Senior Advisor for Caucasus Negotiations, Louis Bono, and US Ambassador to Armenia Kristina Quinn met with Armenian high-ranking officials to discuss efforts toward establishing a lasting and dignified peace between Armenia and Azerbaijan.
“The time has come for a peace agreement that will enable the unlocking of the South Caucasus's social and economic potential,” the American diplomatic representation emphasized.
It is worth mentioning that Louis Bono last visited Armenia at the end of May this year.
