Borrell Comments on Decision to Allocate 10 Million Euros to Armenia
Security is becoming a key element in our bilateral relations with Armenia, stated Josep Borrell, the EU High Representative for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy, while commenting on the decision to allocate 10 million euros to Armenia from the EU's European Peace Facility.
“This initiative from the European Peace Facility will further enhance the country's resilience. We have a mutual interest in further expanding our dialogue on foreign and security policy, as well as in Armenia's continued participation in EU-led missions and actions,” Borrell noted.
The purpose of the assistance being provided to the Republic of Armenia is to enhance the material and technical capabilities of its armed forces and to improve the protection of the civilian population in crisis and emergency situations.
