Abkhazia's Foreign Ministry Displeased with Ararat Mirzoyan's Statements
The Foreign Ministry of Abkhazia has expressed its discontent regarding the statements made by Armenian Foreign Minister Ararat Mirzoyan and Georgian Foreign Minister Ilya Darchiashvili. "The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Abkhazia calls on the Armenian side not to use mythical and stereotypical expressions regarding Georgia's territorial integrity that contradict objective reality," the Abkhazian Foreign Ministry stated in its commentary.
Furthermore, the Abkhazian Foreign Ministry expressed hope that "the Armenian leadership will draw the right conclusions and change its position on this issue." They emphasized that the people have defended their homeland against Georgian aggressors at the cost of thousands of sons and daughters' lives and will never deviate from the chosen path of developing and strengthening an independent sovereign Abkhaz state.
Abkhazia also expressed concern regarding Armenia's vote in favor of a UN General Assembly resolution on the "status of displaced persons and refugees from Abkhazia and South Ossetia."
