We Must Sign an Agreement with Them Soon: Statement from Iran
Iran and Russia's military-technical cooperation continues, and there are no obstacles for it. This was stated by Kamal Kharrazi, a senior adviser to Iran's Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei and head of the Strategic Council on Foreign Relations of Iran, in an interview with the Financial Times.
“There are no obstacles to signing arms agreements between Iran and Russia,” he noted. Kharrazi stated that Tehran has already conducted negotiations to acquire Russian fighter jets. “And soon we need to sign a comprehensive strategic agreement with them,” the adviser added.
Kharrazi also denied recent accusations against Iran regarding the sale of drones to Russia, emphasizing that these claims are false.
