Landslide Occurs on Road Segment
On June 28, at 11:07 AM, the Crisis Management Center of the Kotayk Regional Rescue Department received information that a landslide had occurred on Street 13 in the village of Getamej.
Emergency teams from the Ministry of Emergency Situations, the Department of Population Protection, Disaster Risk Reduction, and the regional rescue departments were dispatched to the scene.
It was revealed that since April, a landslide had gradually activated in the direction of Getamej Street 13 from the residential buildings on Agricultural Street 5 in the village of Ptghni, causing cracks in a section of about 50 meters along the road of Getamej Street 13. Additionally, in Ptghni, damage was reported to a nearby stone support structure of one of the houses on Agricultural Street 5, as well as to the tandoor of another house, a stone structure (approximately 60 sqm), a swimming pool, and a reinforced concrete fence.
The information regarding the landslide has been communicated to responsible representatives of the Ministry of Territorial Administration and Infrastructures, the Urban Development Committee, the Urban Planning and Infrastructure Management Department of the Kotayk Regional Administration, the New Hrazdan community administration, and the Kotayk Regional Police Department’s operational control center.
Rescuers have conducted an investigation.
