After the application of chemical measures against grasshoppers in the Gegharkunik region, the situation looks like this. The photograph was provided to ArmeniaSputnik by the governor Karen Sargsyan.
It was previously reported that the Ministry of Economy issued a statement indicating that specialists are well aware of the issue and noted that comprehensive chemical measures are planned against grasshoppers. Therefore, it is recommended to relocate beehives at least 3-5 kilometers away from the affected areas, avoid harvesting mushrooms, plants, and berries in the coming 20 days, and refrain from grazing agricultural animals in the adjacent pastures.
