Six Candidates to Participate in Iran's Early Presidential Election
Six candidates will participate in Iran's early presidential election, according to reports from Tasnim.
The candidates include former Minister of Interior Mostafa PourMohammadi, the representative of the Supreme Leader in the High Council of National Security Saeed Jalili, current Speaker of Parliament Mohammad Bagher Ghalibaf, Tehran Mayor Alireza Zakani, former Minister of Health Masoud Pezeshkian, and Amir Hossein Ghazizadeh Hashemi, the head of the Foundation for Martyrs and Veterans Affairs.
It is noteworthy that today, the Guardian Council of Iran submitted the list of candidates for the presidential election to the country's Interior Ministry.
The early presidential election is scheduled to take place on June 28 in Iran. A total of 80 individuals had submitted their candidacies.
