Russia to Send Nuclear Submarine to Cuba
The Russian nuclear submarine "Kazan," which will not carry nuclear weapons, is set to visit Havana next week. This was announced by the Cuban communist authorities. According to The Guardian, the visit of the Russian nuclear submarine comes amid escalating tensions between Moscow and Washington.
In addition, three more ships from the Russian naval forces will arrive off the coast of Cuba: the "Admiral Gorshkov" missile frigate, the "Akademik Pashyin" sea tanker, and the "Nikolay Chiker" rescue tug. They are scheduled to dock at the port of Havana on June 12 and will remain there for five days.
It is noted that none of the ships will carry nuclear weapons, thus their presence in our country does not pose a threat to the region.
